Electric Cars

Electric cars create less pollution than gasoline-powered cars and alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles. Vehicles powered by fuel cells are electric cars. Electric vehicles is to charge batteries on board vehicles for propulsion using the electric grid. The main advantages of battery electric vehicles are "the vehicle potentially reducing urban pollution" and "gasoline is replaced by electricity" reducing dependency on foreign fossil fuels.

An electric car is a wiring project. A gasoline engine, with its fuel lines, exhaust pipes, coolant hoses and intake manifold, tends to look like a plumbing project.

Differences between gasoline and electric cars:

The electric motor gets its power from a controller
The controller gets its power from an array of rechargeable batteries.
The gasoline engine is replaced by an electric motor.

Electric Cars Present
there were between 60,000 and 76,000 low-speed, battery powered vehicles in use in the US up from about 56,000 in 2004, according to Electric Drive Transportation Association estimates. There are now over 100,000 NEVs on US streets.
