STATEMENT OF PURPOSEPurpose of Study & Professional Plans
The boundless possibility of trying out and the instant knowledge of the outcome that stimulates one for further analysis of a rationale in question, is what I find most appealing about Computer Science. Keeping up an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe, leads to a constant learning process. This approach adds to the already immense potential for innovation that exists in this field.
As I have been brought up in a family which has strong inclinations towards development, My father is a K.S officer, whose works for the development of rural areas and my mother is a Teacher and social worker, who has always worked for poor children. I have developed a fascination for science from my childhood. This inclination towards science was further increased by my active participation in science fair and seminars in my school days. I had a special interest towards science and appreciated its innovative ideas and I want to dedicate my life for man kind with the help of latest technological tool “Computer”. My penchant for science rightly guided me to take up the science stream at the pre university level from which I drew inspiration to imbibe the true spirit of Computer engineering. I took up Computer Engineering as my undergraduate major as it had tremendous potential to becomes a dominate force in this Millennium affecting all walks of human life. Also Computer revolution ushered in an area that heralded the beginning of an all round progress of the planet.
As a student in the First year of undergraduate study for a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, I look to graduate study to refine my knowledge and skills in my areas of interest. I believe it will also serve to give direction to my goal of a career as a research professional at an academic, research-oriented organization. I intend to pursue a BS degree in order to reach that goal.
Academic Background
In my undergraduate studies of one year as an AUPP (Australian universities pathway program) student, I have benefited from the breadth of NICE MMC College that has given me a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Computer Science and a strong conceptual understanding of the same. In this year of study, I have strived to maintain an approach of expending independent effort in all my endeavors. Learning by me and sharing my knowledge with others has been most worthwhile, when comprehending a concept.
AUPP is an Australian universities pathway program; I found it the best way of getting into a good university in Australia .As it is not only cost saving and time saving but it is also well planned. This route of AUPP aroused a desire in me to acquire a professional degree in Technical studies from Australia via AUPP.
My quest for the right path can get me to Australia, a highly developed and technically advanced country, which has always opened its welcoming doors to deserving students of all nationalities. Truly it is land of academic opportunities the flexibility offered by its educational system is amazing. Excellent infrastructure, advanced equipment and conductive environment, where individuals Merits and abilities are given due recognition are the strongest reason for me to study in Australia.
One person’s life influences the lives of an unbelievable number of people, one of the most important lessons I learned, being a student and ambassador of NIIT during my secondary level (11th and 12th standard). Working as the youngest ambassador ever of NIIT Kashmir turned out to be a confidence booster. It taught me that the basis for good work is self-reliance and very importantly, time management. Not all of my work was devoid of shortcomings. I learned to accept both criticism and praise with a positive frame of mind. My work involved organizing various events, that brought with them the opportunity to work and interact with various kinds of people. This was a distinctively gratifying experience for me, which I feel would stand in good stead in the future, especially in lieu of any teaching experience.
In conclusion, I would like to add that the essence of University education lies in the synergetic relationship between the student and his department. I feel that bachelor study at Ballarat University will be the most logical extension of my academic pursuits and a major step towards achieving my objectives. I would be grateful to you if I’m accorded the opportunity to pursue my bachelor studies at Ballarat University and am able to justify your faith in me.
